Flori’s Landscaping & Masonry, Inc. (“Flori’s Landscaping,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit florislandscaping.com (the “Site”) or contact us through it, how we use and share that information, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. We collect the information you choose to provide when you fill out a form on our Site:
- Contact and estimate requests: your name, email address, phone number, property address or town, the service you’re interested in, and your message.
- Job applications (“Join Our Team”): your name, contact details, and your answers about your experience, licenses, availability, and the position you’re applying for.
- Referrals (“Refer a Friend”): your name and contact details, and the name and contact details of the person you are referring. Please refer only people you believe would welcome hearing from us.
- Reviews (“Write a Review”): your name, email address, and the review you write.
We also keep any information you share with us when you call, email, or text us directly.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our web host and our security and performance provider, Cloudflare, automatically record standard technical information. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and the date and time of your visit. We use this information only to keep the Site secure, prevent spam and abuse, and fix technical problems.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Our Site uses only a few cookies, mainly to keep it working and secure:
- Security cookies: Cloudflare sets a cookie that helps tell real visitors apart from automated bots. Our forms may use a spam-protection check, Cloudflare Turnstile, which works the same way.
- Site function: if you log in or use certain features, WordPress may set cookies needed for those features to work.
- Google Maps: our contact page includes an embedded Google Map. When it loads, Google may collect information and set its own cookies. Google’s use of that information is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The Site will still work, although some features, such as the map, may not.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your questions and prepare estimates and quotes.
- To schedule and carry out our landscaping, masonry, irrigation, lighting, fencing, tree, seasonal display, and snow and ice management services.
- To communicate with you about your project, appointments, and billing.
- To review job applications and contact applicants.
- To contact people you refer and to give you any referral reward you have earned.
- To publish reviews you send us, if you have agreed to that. We may show your first name and last initial.
- To keep the Site secure and protect against spam, fraud, and misuse.
- To meet our legal obligations.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only in these situations:
- Service providers who help us run our business and the Site, such as our website host, Cloudflare, and our email provider. They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, a court order, or a government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our company, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers: if our business is sold or merged, customer information may be transferred to the new owner, who must continue to protect it.
5. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described above. That includes providing our services, keeping normal business, tax, and warranty records, and meeting legal requirements. Unsuccessful job applications are kept for up to [12] months, unless you ask us to delete yours sooner. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.
6. How we protect your information
The Site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and only staff who need it can see form submissions. No website or online system is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information through our forms, such as Social Security numbers, bank account details, or credit card numbers.
7. Your choices and rights
You can contact us at any time to:
- ask what personal information we have about you;
- correct information that is wrong;
- ask us to delete your information, unless we need to keep it for legal or business-record reasons;
- stop receiving messages from us.
To make a request, use the contact details below. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the law, and we will honor them as required.
8. Children’s privacy
The Site is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Links to other websites
The Site may link to other websites, such as social media pages, review sites, and Google Maps. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please read their privacy policies.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top.
